El Museum of Contemporary Art of Ibiza (MACE) located in Dalt Vila presents a new exhibition entitled “White Island”, formed by 19 works of the artist Edmund de Waal (England, 1964). This is the first time that this London artist and writer, known for his interventions and installations on a large scale, exhibits in Spain. De Waal has starred in numerous exhibitions around the world and has collaborated on the design of a new ballet premiered this year at the Royal Opera House in London. He is also well known in his role as a writer, with works such as “The hare with eyes of amber.” Several of the works presented in the exhibition make explicit reference to Ibiza or are dedicated to people closely linked to the island such as Walter Benjamin or Raoul Hausmann. |
